Years ago I successfully used both a Chord Mojo and a DAP with the Crack - no problems. The fact that you have issues with both suggests a problem with the adapter you're using to go from Chord/DAP to Crack RCA inputs - which I imagine is either a mini trrs to rca or mini trs to rca y-splitter.

This sounds like what i am encountering. So, do I open up the Crack and add a 100 ohm to the middle pin of both RCA inputs?

This is far better done in the cables you're using.  You don't want to lower the input impedance of the Crack to 100 ohms, that's not desirable if you get different sources down the road.
