Hello guys,

I've been a long time user of the Crack now and I really love it!
Mostly use it to drive my HD800.
I recently acquired Hifiman HE1000v2 and just out of curiosity, I connected it to Crack, and to my surprise, it actually sounds great!
But it got me wondering if connecting such a low impedance planar to the Crack would be harmful to the Crack.
FYI, it has a rated impedance of 35Ω and sensitivity of 90dB/mW

Would really appreciate your help,
Thanks!

It won't harm the Crack but output will be limited and damping will be pretty poor.  The impedance curve of the HE1000 is a flat line, so the damping problem is certainly less of a problem.

This is why we make several different headphone amps. The S.E.X. amp would be a very fine match to the HE1000V2, and the Mainline would probably work well too.
