Hi,

I am doing the resistance checks using a Fluke 87V auto ranging meter with fresh batteries. Everything checks out OK, but I had concerns about the values of some starred items.

All my starred (*) resistance measurements are in the 10s or 100s of K ohms as predicted, except for these:

#30 214 ohms
#31 214 ohms
#32 201 ohms

 H2 214 ohms
 H4 201 ohms
 H5 214 ohms
 H6 1.3   K ohms

I am a little insecure about proceeding without confirmation that these are OK.

(One other thing to note. All of my readings which should be 0 ohms, read .2 ohms, which is expected. Oddly, terminal 22 reads 1.2 ohms. I assume that's OK.)

Thanks,
John

The readings that are around 200 ohms aren't an issue.  Whatever reading you have at H6 should be about the same as H3, but it will be a bit meter dependent as well.  If you passed the glow test then I wouldn't worry too much about these.

Terminal 22 is grabbing ground through the chassis plate, so a little bit of extra resistance isn't uncalled for.  There's nothing connected there, so a perfect ground connection isn't absolutely necessary.  If you wanted to, you could tighten up your hardware a little bit and that might bring that reading down a bit.

Paul,

Thank you!

I went back and remeasured them all again.
This time, both H3 and H6 measured the same (1.3 K ohms).

I had passed the glow test fine.

I will proceed with the voltage test.

I really appreciate this forum!
