I'm playing around with unique ideas for a new video and I have been looking at old instructional films for inspiration. My god, some are so incredibly bad. This one has a pretty good message, however the stilted, swimming through molasses delivery of the narrator makes me want to serve him an espresso doppio. He does get style points for meticulous, if ponderous, enunciation.

Yeah, I just watched and switched to 1.75 speed. Made it a little more tolerable.

Damn, that works! And it does show off the guy's precise enunciation. On a similar topic, my massage therapist was talking about how they sent her to a coach to get rid of her Kitsap County accent when she was doing voice overs for one of the local broadcast stations. Might have seemed strange to me because after living on the West Coast all my life I don't notice a regional accent. However I watched Fred Armisen's demos of accents from San Francisco vs. Portland vs. Seattle a while back and it was like "Holy Shit!" - I've had (or still have) all of those!
