Hello,
I am a beginner, the crack is the first kit I build. When I finally plugged the amp in I noticed a slight weird cracking noise that lasted 10 seconds so I turned the amp over and I saw that one of the electrolytic capacitors "blew". So I looked at where the problem was and I saw that I plugged the capacitor in the wrong place. Instead of connecting it to 20U and 21U, I connected it to 21U and 22U. I also noticed that the power transformer was hot, not to the point of burning but hot. So my question is, did I ruin the power transformer or can I just replace the capacitor that blew.
Thanks for your help

You could have fooled me with your pictures.

Pop that cap out and toss it in the trash, then power up your amp to see if the fuse holds (be aware that the fuse may have already given up).

The power transformer voltage check that's in the manual can be done after the amp is built, so that's what I would do to check on that.  Both a blown power transformer and a blown capacitor have horrible smells, but it's difficult to describe the difference on the internet.

thank you very much for answering me so quickly i was seriously worried!
And thank you very much for the compliment, I'm 17 years old and the making of this amp has fascinated me. I'm seriously thinking about studying in this field.

First of all, there was no particular smell or at least a smell close to tin smoking despite the slight smoke that came out of the capacitor.
About the transformer, it did not give off any smoke and did not smell, it was just hot.
And the fuse is still intact but I'm thinking of changing it to clear my conscience.
I have enough for tonight I will take the measurements tomorrow but I don't think I killed the transformer.

I was impressed by my first failure but I'm not discouraged

Reminds me of a certain technician/designer of Bottlehead that I met many years ago when he was around 17.
