I had to put away my Reduction for about 2 years. I just plugged it in and I get a super loud humming and barely any volume. I have no idea where to even begin diagnosing this thing. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Start by reflowing your solder joints, as a loud hum is most likely due to a cold joint. Most often it will be a bad ground connection somewhere. And, as always, we could use your voltage measurements compared with those listed in the manual and photos of the underside to assist us in assisting you.

Would you be able to guide me to a place to show me where I have to do my voltage readings. It's been so long. Thank you!

I guess this is a good time to remind folks to hang on to your assembly manuals. Contact Eileen at [email protected]. Give her your name and the kit version or approximate year of your kit order. She will verify and send you a download link for the manual.
