My kit with the speedball upgrade is not producing any sound on the right channel. So far I have measured all the voltages and the resistances that I will list below. I have checked that all the LEDs light up and both tubes also illuminate. Could this be a faulty headphone jack? I wanted to check before I replace the headphone jack thank you!

Did the kit work properly before the Speedball was installed?

So novice mistake on my part. I thought I was getting both channels because I got audio on both side when the headphones were partially plugged in. I know now I was getting the left channel signal on both sides. I wanted to check here for any suggestions on things I could troubleshoot before I reverted it back to the base kit. I would need to purchase some extra parts so I would have some dwell time to troubleshoot.

* Also I tried to attach jpegs but it would not post to the message board so I am replying without the images.

You can just reduce the sizes of the jpeg images and they will post.

So the kit may not have worked properly prior to the Speedball being installed?

There really is not enough information to just assume there's something wrong with the headphone jack.

Yes I'd assume that the kit did not work properly prior to speedball since I have no way to prove otherwise. I figured I'd need to revert but wanted to check just in case. I've attached the images in case it helps.

I can't really offer a lot on this one since it's so far from what we send out with our kits.  The Alps Blue potentiometer is only supposed to be mounted to a PC board, which is why it has PC pins.  If you want to use it in one of our kits, you'll need to get a little companion PC board off eBay to mount to the pot, then solder the wires to that board.  If you don't do that, the wires can just snap off the pot pins randomly.

Big caps in these amps can also pull things around.  If those aren't glued down, I would expect them to cause a bit of damage over time.

Got it. It just sounds like I need to revert this back to the original base kit state and start from there. Could you refer me to the companion PC board? I had not heard of that one before. Thank you for the timely responses, I'll be reverting this back to the base kit and then updating this post if the problem continues.
