Hi,

So I am getting quite a lot of Hum with my newly built Bee Pre1. Any suggestion on how to get the hum to go down?

The music sounds great but the hum exists.

I did the following experiment:

1. I turn off the Bee Pre
2. I turn on the Kaiju with the Bee Pre connected ==> HUM Exist
3. I disconnect the Bee Pre from the Kaiju and the Hum goes away.

I also tried a solid state Pre Amp with the Kaiju and there is no HUM either.

Let me know if you have any ideas.

That's a ground issue. Make sure that the Kaiju, BeePre and your source components are plugged into the same outlet/circuit.

These kinds of conditions can exist when you have something like the bottom side of the top panel painted or powder coated and the point where the audio ground and chassis ground connect doesn't make adequate contact.  This can also occur if the earthing lug by the IEC power entry module isn't making good contact with the chassis.
