Sometimes a simple job turns out to be anything but simple. I just replaced the stock output caps in my Crack +speedball with Auden q4 caps. This should normally be a simple job, but the end result is that I lost the left channel. I built this Crack more than 10 years ago, and after several moves I no longer have the manual, which makes troubleshooting difficult. I’m hoping someone here can point me in the right direction for troubleshooting, or maybe help me get the PDF of the manual. My wife just bought me a Tung Sol black glass 12au7, and a Bendix 6080wb and I’m anxious to get this working again.

You'd want to post the voltages on all the Speedball terminals and let us know if both halves of the 12AU7 are lighting up.

Well, as I was checking voltages I happened to bump the small, maybe 22 gauge, wire that goes from the outer edge of the large speedball board near one of the large heat sinks to terminal 9 of the terminal strip for the power tube, maybe a ground wire? The end of that wire at the terminal strip was no longer attached but it looked attached until I bumped it with the meter probe. To shorten this story, I replaced that wire and the Crack produces beautiful music again. Thanks for your response yesterday Paul.
