Have built the Bottlehead Paramounts V. 1.1. Had hiccoughs and other road bumps during the process but after all has been said and done, I have to say that these amps are quite nice. The only things I have really messed with are the tubes in that the drivers are GE Five Star 5670's and the 300B's are TJ 300B Mesh Plates. This particular combo has been very nice to my ears. The way this system is configured is: Apple iMac running Pure Music 1.8 > Toslink > Grant Fidelity TubeDAC 0.9 > Transcendent Sound GG Preamp > Paramount V. 1.1 > Hsu HB1 Mk2 w/ Hsu VTF3 Mk3.
This is basically a computer desktop system in my lab where I build stuff and the total synergy has me staying here in all hours since it sounds so good.
As anyone can see, this system is a bang for the buck deal. Admittedly not cheap by any measure but it do sound just fine! Which is the point, yes?
