Thanks to Doc B for guiding me to configure cable to drive my headphones, Grado's, Denon's and HiFiMan HE-500's. After the tubes warmed up it is truly amazing, so clean and open with dynamics to knock me out! Amazingly, I got it right the first time- no cold joints or shorts. There is a little hum but the trim pots reduced it, and it is totally inaudible when the music is playing. Besides, I have never been to a live event that had no hum or worse, so I am philosophical...
The Paramounts are also very good on my Tannoy Canterbury SE's (96db) and with my Clarity Cable speaker cables they handle all but the loudest massed choral and orchestral showpieces (but they come very close)...
