Hi All,

Am a little concerned if the Smack will have enough power to drive the LCD-2's.  Currently have a Woo Audio 6 that puts out 550 mW @ 60 ohms.  The LCD-2's are rated at 60 Ohms.  I find I occasionally use most of the power on the WA6 with some types of music.  How will the power output of the Smack compare?  I don't want to go backwards.

Thanks!

I recommend the S.E.X. amp for LCD-2s. At 200mW from the 64 ohm tap the Smack will drive them OK, but the S.E.X. using the 32 ohm output setting of the new OT-2 output transformer will really make them shine. I listened to that combo at RMAF and it worked great. Also works quite well with K-1000s.

OK.

1) can I run 4-pin headphones out of the SEX?

2) HELP!  How can I change my order that was placed for the Smack?

Thanks Doc!

We will have an upgrade for the S.E.X. 2.1 that installs the balanced/unbalanced switching like we have in the Smack. Working on that this month. You would just need to make an adapter, maybe banana plugs to 4pin DIN would be the easiest.

And of course if you need to adjust an order you can email Eileen at queen at bottlehead dot com or call 206-451-4275.
