This is easy to do, as shown by the fact that I've just done it--15 caps, all the ones 1/4" diameter or larger, in my Denon 1600, and a pcX order in for a Denon 1500 II that's just been rescued by Paul Porcelli, the creator of the amazing Turbo DAC that I can use either of these Denons with as transport. (Strange brand-naming: these two players are very nearly identical, while the Denon 1500 is quite unlike the Denon 1500 II.) Both players are decades old and replacing the caps can't be a bad idea.
