Hope you all had a great Thanksgiving!

I just know I'm going to get a rep for being a heretic, but here goes.  What is the best way to add a second set of outputs to the quickie?  I am going to add a very small 15WPC class d amp that runs on 12v (don't laugh, it's a new design from an American company that actually sounds pretty good- one of the new TI (acquired from Tripath) chips, I think).  The little amp will run for a full 24 hour day on a small 2000mAh LiFePo pack and I'm trying to come up with something to take along in the camper van.  Imagine listening to the Quickie with a pair of the little Orcas at dusk at camp in Joshua Tree...  The other reason is that I'd like the existing outputs available for a small sub.

Now, I know how some of you guys feel about this stuff, so let's keep the sniggering to a minimum, eh?   :-[

Thanks for your suggestions --Jim

Hey Jim - I'm not laughing about the t-amp. I have a couple of them. Love em. I personally would not want to split up the Quickie output. I would get a cheap 2nd DAC, run a second digital out from the server/player, and run a dedicated sub amp. Thats what I did. You can run a long toslink to the sub DAC.

If you go to Joshua Tree you can swing by Tucson (well not exactly a swing - but at 85mph it goes by quick). I'll show you around!

I shouldn't have mentioned a sub as it confuses things.  The main goal here is to turn the Quickie into a little battery-powered integrated.  I have this cute little class d module from classdaudio that will do 15WPC and runs great on 10-24v.  The module itself is only about 2x3", so I'm going to mount it inside the Quickie base and just wire it up to the pre out.  I've got a couple of 2100mAh 6.6v LiFePo packs around that I'll wire up in series for 13.2V, add some speaker terminals on the back of the Quickie and there 'ya go - a neat little battery powered integrated amp.
