I am finally ready to start building again after a way too long hiatus and I want to start with the s.e.x. 2.1 and the Eros, and I'm looking for some assistance in identifying the terminals on the pt7 power transformer so that I can orient it correctly on the chassis plate.  Also, I need a description of the terminal numbering scheme for the solder lugs, tube sockets, etc.

If anybody can help, that would be great.

TIA,

Jim

Hi Jim,
I happen to have my S.E.X. 2.1 manual, so I think I can help. The power transformer should be oriented so the side with 2 lugs, gap, 2 lugs is toward the back of the chassis. There are a total of 6 terminal strips; all numbering goes left to right. The strip closest to the back of the chassis and mounted on the transformer screw is numbered C1 to C5. The strip close to the power transformer, closer to the A side and about halfway front-to-back is numbered 1 to 5. The strip mounted on the A tube bracket towards the back is 6 to 10. The strip mounted on the A bracket towards the front is 7 to 15. The strip on the B tube bracket towards the back is 16 to 20. The strip mounted on the B tube bracket towards the front is 21 to 25. Let me know if that is not clear.
