Hi, when I was doing the DC Voltage check on my crack, I think I accidentally shorted an led (the one connected to A8) as it flickered and died. So I'll probably have to get a replacement led.

Thinking of dropping by the local specialized electronics shop for LEDs.
Does anyone know the type of led I should look for? I know the one supplied with the crack is a HLMP6000 but do I need to get the same exact model or is another led (same type) a suitable replacement?

Thanks for all the help!

Oh and also, any advise on how not to short the LEDs? :/

If the LED is glowing, it is very likely that it's producing the proper voltage.  The best way not to short the LED's is just not to measure them while the circuit is on.

A generic red LED may be close enough or a 470 Ohm 1/4 watt or 1/8 watt resistor can be substituted.

I'd e-mail queen(at) bottlehead (dot) com about getting the replacement LED mailed out.

Okay. Thanks. Anyway, shipping is not an option (I am on the other side of the world in sunny singapore).
I found a supplier that sells the exact LED so I'll be getting a replacement soon. Thanks!
