I'm not a Crack owner yet but will be placing my order within the week. This will be my first tube amp and one thing I have read conflicting viewpoints on is how long tubes take to warm-up before ready. I read from another forum that one person's tube amp (not a Crack) does not really get good until it's been on for 4 hours. I can handle 5-10 minutes warm-up but I don't want an amp that takes 4 hours to sound it's best.

Any thoughts from your experience? I'm anxious to get started in the world of tubes.

I own (and have owned) lots of tube amps. Most of them sound perfectly fine roughly two minutes after turning on. The Crack needs even less than that, maybe 1 minute. I have trouble believing that any reasonably designed amp needs 4 hours to sound good, although maybe others with more technical knowledge can explain if there are any parts of an amp, or tubes, that really need that long to reach theoretical peak performance...
