So one day back in March I get a message from my girlfriend, Bobbi. She's cleaning out a desk at work and comes across this little metal index card box. Knowing me she texts me a pic and asks if I want it.

I say "sure" without really thinking much about it. As soon as I get it in my hands the wheels start turning.
I have spare parts from my ultimate quickie. ( I always order spare parts
)
I spend an hour or so drawing it out and BOOM! A new Quickie is born. Well, at least on paper it was. Then I got to work.
I still had to get a few more items ordered but I had a little bit to start with.

At a certain point Bobbi wanted to get involved and agreed to help me build it. It took a while for us to find the time but eventually we got there. I got the hardware mounted but she wanted to help with the soldering so we each built a channel. I coached her step by step even showing her how to measure wire lengths and stripping ends on the fly.

The 2 inner jacks are inputs and the 2 outer jacks are the outputs. 1 pair in, 1 pair out. Stereo volume control. 1 DPDT switch for the heaters. Pretty simple.

Pretty compact too.

I used Nichicon Muse electrolytic caps, PRP resistors, matched Sonicap output caps which came from another project, and a bit of homegrownaudio copper wire.

I still can't get over how great it sounds! One of the best preamp circuits out there!
