go to page 23 and put the two LED's on the nine pin socket first.  As it is it is hard enough then, wait until wires are in the way.

I tacked it up (took the photo) then held the LED up with needle nose and cleaned the solder joint up real pretty.  Don't solder the center pin yet.  Just push the silver banded LED leads through.

Now you can start.

You will thank me.

Builders note 2:  Page 18

Run the red wire from the twisted pair coming from octal socket B7 and B8 around the socket clockwise as depicted below IF you are doing or are going to do the Speedball upgrade.  It gets REAL busy by the terminal leg, close to the 9 pin socket ESPECIALLY when you add the stand off for the Speedball upgrade on that screw sticking up there.

Twist the wire around my way for a hair more space.

Yep. I have to agree about the LEDs. I've wondered myself why the manual doesn't suggest doing it this way...
