Greetings:
I have a Speedball kit on its way and in the meantime I have been studying the instructions ahead of time so I can be ready to build when it arrives. My question to the forum is: Would applying a small "I Mean tiny!!" amount of thermal paste between the TIP-50 transistor and the heatsink help dissipate heat better? Do you all think it would make an improvement at all? Am I just over complicating things?

Thanks.

You are over-complicating things. You're not going to overclock a Speedball board. Build it just like the instructions say and it will work very well.
