I purchased a Tode for my son. But my daughter also says she wants to take guitar lessons. Couldn't convince her of picking up her brother's acoustic guitar, she wants electric! So we were able to find a Strat mini and I modified a Crack to be her amp.
I used the output jack for input, cap coupled both 12au7 stages and cap coupled the second to both 6080 operating in parallel. The opt is a hammond ese 125 (I think). The 6080 operate at 130v p-k and 32 bias. They share a 300 ohm cathode resistor bypassed with one of the crack out going caps and current is 52mA each section.
Thought about it on my way home last night and by midnight it was already connected to the strat and to one if the altec patio speakers (755e). I only looked quickly at the curves and started building so maybe nothing is ideal. But it sounds very good, has a warm tone, not distorted but far from clean.
Of course I tuned the guitar and rocked the house until very late. And my princess "played" a little bit this morning before going to school.
Now I need to find a decent speaker and put everything in a box
