It shouldn't be embarrassing, just part of the building process. This us why we always suggest that builders touch up very joint if they can't locate a single one that is making the noise. It only takes a couple minutes and it isn't always possible to see that a bad joint is bad.

If you guys saw how much s**t we blow up in the lab you probably wouldn't sweat the cold joints and miswires so much.

Yeah, you missed me accidentally installing the 220uF 250V cap in the 400V power supply on Friday.
