My BeePre sounds absolutely wonderful now, except it has a low level noise that sounds like the white noise when an FM tuner is between stations when I have it hooked up to my phono stage.   What could be causing this?  It is also very microphonic when i tap on it, but that is not a problem.

Advise appreciated

Is this noise only present with the phono stage hooked up?

I get what Paul is wondering about.  If it is just when the phono stage is selected it isn't the BeePre.

Do some cable swapping and connection tightening on your phono stage and interconnects.  My cables lose a little tension on the outer connection over the years.  Sometimes I just take a pair of needle nosed pliers and gently bend the outer part inward.  I get a good snug connection for the next 3 or 4 years.

Thanks guys.  I will try this.  I don't think that the noise is coming from my phono stage as it is dead quiet with my other preamp (a grounded grid Transcendence preamp).  I remember, there was no white noise in the BeePre when hooked to my computer/Dac system, but I will re-test it.   I suspect the problem has something to do with the BeePre's wiring or RCA cables or mains.    I will re-check the internal wiring after floating some grounds on the BeePre.
