First solder project..
Assembled and testing resistance:
Terminal Strip 1-10 test OK
Pot tests OK
Selector Switch 1,4,8,9,11,12 test OK, but 2,3,5,6,7,10 all test OL (same as when my meter is not touching anything)
I had a "learning experience" initially with the RCA Input jacks and had to buy replacements (got too hot when trying to reflow the joints for the first time).
Attached a pic to see if there is something obvious I am missing.
Reflowed all the solder joints and checked each terminal for continuity to the associated RCA jacks, etc and all checked OK. Also checked the ground busses for continuity between each lug and the terminal strip and this all tested OK.
(There is a bit of electrical tape on the wire connecting 11-12 to 1-7 on the tube socket, insulation got a bit melted, but not all the way to the wire - please excuse my newb skills).

So you're saying that the terminals that should read infinite read over limit, and the ones that should read 1.07KΩ read about 1KΩ? Several of the terminals you mention are also not connected to anything. For example terminal one on the switch, you say it reads correctly, which the manual says is infinite, and there are there are no wires connected. So what are you defining as "correct" here?

 My meter vs. manual
1 - 87.9K SB infinity
4  - 96.1K SB infinity
8 - 1.071K SB 1.07k
9 - 1.071K SB 1.07k
11 - 1.073K SB 1.07k
12 - 1.073K SB 1.07k

2,3,5,6,7,10 all read OL but should be infinity

Jeffery,

1.071k Ohms is close enough to 1.07k Ohms.  The manual states not to worry with anything that is not greater than +/- 15% off spec.

OL is overload, or infinity.

Infinity and OL are equivalent.

Voltage check was good..
..but then 1 more hiccup..
Found that I also fried one of the output jacks, so had to remove it, replace and resolder the cap and resistor.
Resistance test again - good.
Voltage test again - good.
Then the moment truth..

At 9:51PM yesterday another Bottlehead Quickie was born into this world!
Sounds so amazing! I am now inspired to relisten to all the music in my collection. Will have some time to enjoy and break in over the next few days as I off work until Wednesday.

Thanks so much for the wonderful kit, all the support and this helpful community!

..and about my next project, headphone amp or phono pre....???

Cheers!
