My first post - but I had to share my story and excitement.  Two months ago I built the Reduction phono preamp replacing an old solid state preamp running with a basic Sony digital amp and my MusicHall turntable. My tunes come to me through a pair of vintage (1984) Cornwalls. When I first put the Reduction in place, I could not believe the improvement in sound. Suddenly there was new found clarity of bass and the midrange - we'll I can only say that there was sound that I never knew was there. Fast forward to today - I have been working on my Stereomour and just completed today, tested voltages and set hum pots. I plugged up in place of the Sony. Unbelievable !!!!! Nothing but smiles, the sound was absolutely perfect. I could not believe what I have been missing from my vinyl all this time.

Thanks to the folks at Bottlehead for putting out great kits, to all on the forums who have posted the knowledge necessary to build these kits right the first time to get a great quality system that I can be proud of.

Congratulations on two "worked when I plugged it in" builds.  That is normal.

Let the Stereomour settle in for 50-100 hours.  It will open up some time during that period.  You will think you are falling in love with your system all over again.

And Welcome!
