I realize this might be a dumb question, but I'm going to ask anyway.  I'm considering wiring my surround sound processor amp output for front channel left and right in to my speakers and leaving them wired to my Paramount 1.1 so that cables are running from both amps to the speakers at the same time.  If the Paramounts are turned off, is there any harm in leaving them wired to my speakers if the speakers are being driven by my surround sound processor?  In other words, can the output of the surround processor/amp somehow damage the Paramount?

Make a A-B switch.  A box of your choosing. A switch (dpdt). And binding posts, (2 sets in, one set out)

The other amp will see the secondary of the Paramount as a dead short. Don't do it.

Thanks everyone for the helpful responses.  My gut feel was that it didn't feel right, so that's why I asked before doing it.  Instead I'm just swapping the banana plugs of the cables from each amp when I switch back and forth.
