Hi there,

Just wanted to report on the Etymotic ER-4PT IEM's. I recently bought them as a replacement for some Klipsch X10i. I use them with a Pono player when I commute and at work. The cool thing with the Etymotic's is, that they come with an adapter cable, that increases the impedance from 27 Ohm to 100 Ohms, which makes them also perfect for using them with the SEX.

I like their balanced and neutral sound. Their noise insulation is phenomenal too. But be warned, if you are bass head and like bass response above neutral, they are not for you.

Kind regards

Michael

ps: I am not related to the company.

I bought a nice pair of Sennheiser in ears years ago when i had to commute by bus everyday.  I can still remember the delight the first time i unboxed them on the bus and plugged them into my ears, .....silence, glorious silence.  The next big surprise was the skull rattling low end, i had no idea something so tiny could produce so much bass.   Always made me wonder what these modern high end IEM's sound like.
