Im currently running a crack + speedball with a EMU tracker pre as a dac and today I got my odac (just the chip) in the mail. One of the reasons why I got it was to compare it to the tracker pre and my question is how to solder it to be able to quickly switch output on the computer (switch back and forth between the tracker pre (that uses the rca input)and the odac).

My initial idea was to solder the R, L and Ground on the odac to the rca connectors in the crack but this causes a  weird buzz when Im listening with the tracker pre...but the odac sounds fine.

Any ideas?

You don't generally want to parallel the outputs of two different components if it can be avoided.  A second pair of RCA jacks and a toggle switch would be a good idea in this case (or a cheap switchbox).
