Transformer for the crack

Hi,

I plan on buying the kit including the speedball and first wanted to have a closer look at the schematics.I do have some questions about the transformer used in the crack. What is the actual output Voltage and current?

I had a look into the manual and the tubes are feed with 170V DC. The Transformer supplies 150V AC (as it is mentioned on the label). Which is around 150*root(2) = 212V DC

So there should be a drop voltage of around 42V in the power supply ( 212V - 170V = 42V). We do have a combined resistance of 540 Ohms in the power supply which should result in a current of 77mA! (U/R=I -> 43/540= 0,077A). Which is out of spec by a decade.

And also, what does "doubler" mean? Are the two coils connected in series? If so, it is not in the schematics.The pictures look more like a parallel connection.

We'll....I just googled for the manual to get some information about the amp like I do for almost every piece of equipment I own.
There are several headphone amps and people are acting like "black boxes" with magic in it. I built several solid state and tube amps, the tube is not a "magical" thing for me. The manual I have is revised at December 17th of 2013, this manual could be older and this has maybe been already corrected (?).
Don't get me wrong, I really like your kit but I just like to know what I get before I click the buy button.

The voltage and current output of the transformer are correct for the circuit we have designed. The only reason I can think of for the particular line of questioning is to gather enough information to try to find a different transformer so you don't have to buy the kit. The schematic you are using was obtained illegally, we have never given anyone permission the post it to the internet. I must admit I chuckle to myself every time someone chastises us for not giving away our intellectual property, says it's nothing special, and that they don't understand how it works - usually all in the same sentence.
