Hey, i added the Valab Poti and Neutrik Headphone Jack, but not yet finished because i'm missing some parts.
Have some questions:
1) For the twisted wire from the RCA plugs to the poti, can i use something like 3 or 4 core shielded microphone cable instead?
2) Can i just use any resistors for the headphone jack, desoldering those i accidentally broke the solid wire attached to one of them. Will have to order some.
3) Does my wiring look fine for the poti so far? I also replaced the cables on the small speedball pcb with thicker wires, accidentally used a red one instead of a white one on one side, but it should be correctly wired. Also i extended two of the ground cables at the poti, they were too annoying to replace. I just made a knot, soldered them, and put over some heatshrink. Resistance measures 0, so seems fine. Ignore the screw and other debris on the pictures, i removed those  :P

For the missing resistor, in the manual it says 2.49k, but i can only find 2.4k at my most convenient online shop.
Would that work too? I can go to 2.7k instead, but nothing inbetween it seems. Alternative i could add a 2.4k and a 91ohm resistor.

Yes, just ground the shield to the chassis at one end.

Sure, anything from 2K-3K is OK, any wattage is also OK.

The big problem that I see is that you're not building the kit stock.  If you have any issues with this build, the only tech support we will give up front is to take the Speedball out and debug the stock circuit, so I hope you're feeling lucky!

That's a 24K resistor, don't use that.

No worries, this kit had previously worked flawlessly without speedball, then with speedball after some problems i had to fix.
I did not just skip all steps, always checked everything inbetween. Just while working on it for replacing the pot i had knicked one of the smaller cables connecting the small speedball pcb, and just replaced them all with the thicker ones for stability. I checked everything after that step.

oops, linked the wrong one.  ;D
I used a 2.4k and a 91, which works fine too.

Ah, that's relieving.  Your photos looked like an unfinished build in progress, so I thought I might be saving you some trouble later down the road.
