I'm fortunate enough to have a few of the Tape Project tapes but can't afford them all.  Dan suggested some time ago to first purchase the titles on CD and see if you like them before committing.  One of the latest releases is Jerry Garcia and David Grisman and man is this a great recording!  The guitar and mandolin playing is amazing, the recording sounds beautiful and the song selection works together very well.  Jerry's singing never was the greatest IMO but man can he play!   I can only imagine how nice this sounds on tape!

Listened to the MFSL vinyl today and it sounds great!  Well worth the price IMHO.

I have a few of the CDs. All are fantastic, even the song for kids.

Definitely get "The Pizza Tapes". Jerry, David Grisman and Tony Rice. My favorite of the bunch, along with the original Garcia / Grisman. There is a 3 CD set I haven't gotten yet, it's on my list...

Agree 100 percent. I recommended "The Pizza Tapes" several years ago. Since then I've purchased the 24 bit version and put it on my music server. Sounds really good.
