Anyone here try the electret/dynamic hybrid headphones from Mitchell & Johnson?
Specifically the MJ2.

I'm a sucker for gimmicks, and a headphone with an elecret driver and a dynamic driver is naturally something that piques my interest!
Also, I've become a big fan of electrostatic headphones and the thought of having something remotely similar that is so sensitive that I might even plug it straigt into my phone is an intoxicating proposal.

Most review sites seem to like them a lot but the user reviews tend to diverge somewhat.
Detractors point to lacking and muddled bass and generall displeasure with the sound and fit.

Annoyingly, reviewers can't help but say that it gives electrostatic sound for those who don't want to max their credit cards on electrostatics.
While quite a few negative reviews point out that they sound nothing like stats.
Ha.

I wish Tyll had a chance to look at these before he set out on his road trip.

Naturally, what I should do is go to a Hifi store and try them out for myself.
But seeing as the closest city with a Hifi store thatmight stock these is a 15 hour drive away, that's cearly not going to happen.

So I'm left with asking for opinions, and the grognards around here tend to have them in spades.
Anyone tried these?

Buy them on Amazon and you can return them if you don't like them.
