Hey all. I'm looking to build a one input, three output switch. I think I have it figured out, but would love feedback. In this diagram I'd use a two pole, three way make-before-break (shorting) switch and four each of red and black RCAs. Do I have the wiring diagram in the attachments correct? Do I need a ground anywhere?

I think you need a 4 pole 3 position switch. Just reverse the SII setup.

And I think you want a non-shorting switch.

Ok, interesting. I found the two pole, three position recommendation here: https://bottlehead.com/smf/index.php?topic=4065.msg37258#msg37258

And I got the shorting switch guidance from a few different DIY forums, but I obviously could have gotten that wrong.

Four pole does make more sense, I guess. One ground and one signal for each RCA?

I think the shorting switch is used for stepped volume control. I have a drawing I used for adding 2 input with a blank spot in the middle. I'll try to adapt it, give me a few...

Ah that makes sense. Thanks for modifying your drawing!

It may be a bit confusing, I used the colors that come in a CAT5 cable, so I had to double up a couple of colors, the dotted lines are the white striped wires. The center A is internally connected to 1-3, depending on the switch position. B goes to 4-6, C to 7-9 and D to 10-12. So the first position activates 1,4,7 & 10. The 2nd activates 2,5,8 & 11 and the 3rd 3,6,9 & 12. (The way I hooked up + & - to A-D isn't the same as BH used, but It worked for me)

Update on this. I finally got the chassis plate milled by Front Panel Express and then powder coated locally. Thankfully I tried out the wiring diagram before I committed to soldering it.

Later today I'll solder it up and then toss it into a base.
