I have a Speedballed Crack that has performed perfectly for a year or so. Recently, after warming up for 10 min. or so, I get a hissing/crackling/popping sound. This happens with the volume turned down and no input attached, AND at volume WITH input attached. I'm certain it's the amp and not the source. The headphones (HD650) work fine when attached to a different source.

I'm guessing that since it happens with volume turned down that it's something AFTER the pot.

Any ideas on where to start troubleshooting?

I would start by verifying that the voltage checks are still good.

Once you've done that, you can run the amp on its side and plug in a cheap pair of headphones, then poke around the circuit with a wooden chopstick to see if you can poke something that dramatically changes the noise, then you will know where to focus your resoldering efforts.

This was a great tip! Helped me find my issue, loud hum and right channel not working. Reflowed the pot connections and I was good. Thanks!!
