XLR Connector

Is there any reason I can't swap a neutrik female xlr into the headphone jack?  Just bridge the two negative leads together and leave everything the same?

Seems as easy and a little cheaper than replacing the connector on my cables.

Yes, you can do that.  You can also just make a 1/4" male to 4 pin XLR female adapter as well.

Thanks for the reply, may make the adapter since it's more likely any future headphone cables will be 1/4" anyway.  Make the trip down to Partsexpress tonight and see what they have.
