After installing this mod on the Quickie 1.1 preamp, the right channel is not producing a signal. All of the solder joints look good, and I have checked connections for continuity (all OK). Voltage checks are as stated in the instructions, except as follows: B5, 0.3 V (instead of ~2 VDC), A6 0.2-0.3 V, variable (instead of 19-21 VDC). Does this indicate a specific error on my part, a defective component, or something else? Thank you for any insight that you can offer.

This indicates a miswire or a bad solder joint on the PJCCS.  In particular, the middle leg of Q2 takes a fair amount of heat to be properly soldered.
