Foreplay 2 Capacitor Question?
« on: July 07, 2020, 07:05:17 AM »
While I was cleaning out my workshop I found an unassembled Foreplay 2 Kit from 2004. Is it alright  to use the electrolytic caps?

That is a good question indeed. Lets assume lifespan is 20 years, Doe's that stand for unused cap's? I have some almost 20 year old Elna's. Now i am wondering.
The price for new caps is not very expensive.

If they are black snap in caps with the (M) logo on them, I would use them.  They would also say TS-HA or TS-HB on them.

If you want to be extra safe - or just extra tweaky - read up on forming new caps.
