Hello my fellow bottleheads,

It's been a while since I've last visited this forum (completed my Crack a few years back and have loved every minute paired with HD600s). I am planning a loudspeaker build for my living/dining room and would love to use the SEX 3.0. My question is about speaker pairing; I have a lovely set of Wharfedale Diamond III speakers and am wondering if they would pair well with the current iteration of the SEX. Here are the specs for the speakers:

Specifications Wharfedale Diamond III speakers:
- Nominal impedance: 8 ohms
- Power handling: 100 Watts
- Sensitivity: 86 db
- Drive units: Bass / Midrange 110 mm, Treble: 19 mm
- Frequency range: 50 Hz - 20 kHz
- Crossover point: 5 kHz
- Internal volume: 5.2 litres
- Dimensions (W x H x D): 187 x 244 x 205 mm
- Weight: +/- 3.2 kg

What do y'all think? Thanks!

Well, sound will come out, but it won't be super loud.  Still, there have been folks who used 87dB sensitive speakers on SEX amps and were quite happy when the listening room was small and the material played through those systems not all that demanding.
