Does anyone have any experience with these headphones from Hedd Audio?

From their page:
Concept: Open over ear headphone with Air Motion Transformer
Efficiency: 87 dB SPL for 1 mW
Impedance: 42 Ω

Sure would like to demo a pair with the Kaiju!

Listened to a pair today, using the Neothoriator. 4 watts was perfectly adequate. The Hedds are nice, very ample bass (this is their #1 strength to my ear), neutralish mids, and rather soft in the top end. They are quite sensitive to the output impedance setting of the amp. Going to the higher output impedance settings made the bass too prominent. Lower impedance settings sounded closer to the other headphones we compared when they were optimized for impedance - K1000 and HD800. Both of those cans were more present and in comparison sounded bass light (which of course makes sense). I found myself wanting something in between the Hedds and the other cans for tonal balance.

As nice as they sound I don't think I could wear the Hedds in the long term. They are like having a small engine block on your head. I think the most massive headphones I have ever worn. The fit is comfortable in the short term, but quite heavy.

I would say that they generally compare with high end planar headphones and are optimal for those with a strong neck who want a laid back presentation. And for bass heads.
