Hi,

I completed the Crack and it works! One question i have is, the transformer (the cube) is exposed outside on the top as designed. Is it safe? What if someone accidentally touches it - it seems the metal is fully exposed. Is the metal live - i.e. does it conduct electricity?

Thanks.

It is safe. The metal body of the transformer is not at the voltage potential of the circuit. It is insulated from the high voltage windings and it is grounded to the safety ground wire of your power cord in the event that something fails and there is a short to the chassis/transformer laminations.
