Yeah, that was fun to watch. One day I hope an interviewer really gets into the BH design philosophy: parafeed typology, combo of tube and sand (C4S loaded tubes, hybrid shunt regulation), etc.

Very important question @ Doc B: on what are your arms resting in that initial photo? It looks like a ginormous BH wood enclosure -- but for what?

cheers, Derek

I suspect Mark may have been leading me in that direction with his question about the product design process, but I went off in a different direction. I am thinking very hard these days about doing some in house videos and those might include some technical stuff. We'll see, my ideas for first vids are about finishing chassis and bases. And the wood enclosure in the image is a Jager speaker.

... a Jager speaker.

Thanks Doc. I should have guessed that. I was thinking/hoping it might be a new product.

That has the potential to be really great, and with the wealth of knowledge yourself and the two Pauls have you would never be short on content.

There are audio reviewers out there, and hard core tech nerds with youtube channels, but nothing down the middle that covers all aspects of DIY audio.  For example i was intrigued by your home brewed acoustic treatments you showed briefly, would love to see a video on those and how you made them, and how did you know what you needed and where.

Yeah, I know we've needed to do this for a long time. Doing videos badly is very easy. But doing them right is a ton of work, and so we have been slow to get started. I'll be having a planning session with the videographer this Friday. And yes, another idea has been to put PJ and PB and me together in a room and just roll video. Maybe once we all get stabbed with the vaccine we can take a stab at doing that video.

I would love to see this.  To be able to hear you all talk to each other and not have an interviewer intercede with their own agenda (or lack thereof) would be wonderful.

Hah! Instead you'd probably hear us digress to a bunch of off topic stuff, and me and PJ complaining about getting old.

A semi-structured approach might work best. Perhaps forum members could post questions to a "Questions thread". Someone (I'd volunteer) could then edit and collate the questions according to subject-matter and then the BH folks could pick which questions they want to address.

You could even use Zoom or a similar video-conference platform to host and record the discussion - and either live stream or post the recording after-the-fact.

cheers, Derek

Yeah, that brings up another issue. We could just tell jokes and bitch about stuff and get 1M views. Or we could do a very technical discussion and have 15 views.
