Nice funky song, could've used a horn section. I also detected a Morris Day vibe cool.

Prince was one of the greatest ...showmen, professional, singers, screaming guitar,  .....ever. I recently re-discovered him. He is on frequent rotation now.

The original Wild Cherry "Play that funky music..." song had a good horn solo in it.

I never tire of Prince.  He was such a talented musician.  It's too bad I wasn't able to see him live.....

I was waiting for Jerome to come out with a full length mirror to make sure Prince looked good! Seriously though you can't beat listening to this with a C2A and 650's, the bass is beautifully tight yet organic. Loved Prince 4ever and will continue to. You guys should also check out Sheila E and her father with Tito Puente. That stuff is awesome, I will post some. The audio quality is not good but the content is. By the way Sheila E was the only girl Prince ever proposed to, she turned him down. Her father Pete Escovedo was trained by Tito and Sheila sat on his lap as a child, that's where she learned Latin percussion. Not to shabby.

A zillion years ago (1980 maybe?) I ended up at the now defunct Santa Fe Bar and Grill in Berkeley one night with my ex. We came in for a late dinner just as they were turning the tables to set up for the evening band. Guess who? Yup, turned out that Pete E. and Sheila were playing that night. Amazing show. Saw her again a couple years ago at a local casino. Still amazing.
