"There is a way to retain the balance control with the BeePre 2 and its upgrades, but you'd need to install the balance control in a hole on the wood base or somewhere else on the chassis plate."
Paul, I saw this the other day and I am curious if the same/similar could be installed in an SII, and would there be a potential sonic penalty? (Understanding that replacing the stock vol/balance pots with the Mour/Bee quiet is designed to improve sonics)

On the Stereomour II, you would have to do something very different and the only thing I could come up with would change the performance of the amp a bit on the attenuated channel and that doesn't seem optimal.
