The plastic part on the power transformer broke off on each side, I was wondering if the transformer would still work or if I need to get a new one. Here's an image of the transformer

"Cosmetic". Reattach with super glue or epoxy.

I wouldn't bother reattaching it, that bit of the bobbin doesn't serve much of a purpose after the transformer is manufactured.

Thanks. Also, I lost one of the star lockwasher for the transformer. Is it better to not use them at all or can I just use 3 of them?

You can leave one off on one of the front screws of the transformer and it isn't the end of the world.
