Eros tape head preamp wanted

I know from reading the other posts on this subject the Eros is not available at this time but please reconsider making these available again.  I would order 2 of them... One for me and one for my son...Maybe 3 of them with another friend that has talked about getting one.  With the popularity of r2r's going up I think you might be surprised at the amount you could sell.

You could order them and send them to me for construction and I can make them into tape head preamps for you.  We do also still offer the Repro for this function as well.

Reel to reel decks getting popular. I wonder what made that happen?

I appreciate your enthusiasm. The harsh reality is that we would need to be selling at least a tape preamp every week. In the many years that we offered the tape preamp kit that never happened. If it was simply a matter of putting together the old style kit I would do that, but it would now have to be made on the current Eros 2 platform because of fairly major changes made in the new version. That means going through the process of writing a new assembly manual, something that requires the sale of a lot of product to be justified. And so PB offers the option of having him build one for you instead. It's not quite the Tube Repro, but it's got the same basic bones and is a very nice tape preamp.

The current build fees for that are $525.  They are a bit higher than the standard Eros because I have not yet built an Eros 2 in the tape head configuration, so that will take some extra time.
