Hi, finished the Moreplay a couple of weeks ago. I gotta say, I’m really impressed with the sound. I have one other preamp, (solid state, dual mono, class a), which cost about 3x more and it is very hard to tell the difference between the two. Depending on the tubes, that is. I bought a couple of Westinghouse JAN 6V6G | VT-107 7408 because the internet said they were good and they look pretty cool. They are nice and smooth, but the high end is rolled off on my system. The stock 6n6c sound smooth but with a much better balance from low to high. Also thanks for the thorough instruction. I needed them.
Might have to get one of those phono preamps next.
