The hot and neutral loads do not match up on the amp receptacle side. I figured this out accidentally because I hadn't installed the fuse so I wasn't getting voltage between the L and N terminals so I decided to test between the the other terminals for shits and it was getting voltage between the E and N tabs so unless the neutral for some odd reason is designed to run through the fuse side I have a bad cord. I just wanted to confirm this before I ruin anything by sending power to the wrong stuff.

wow ... nice find! I've had a couple mis-wired cables myself (never a power cord though), but over a 40 year period  :-*
