Just wanting to confirm correct placement of this substitute part. Instructions call for metal side to be facing out but this part has no metal side.

Those are oriented correctly.  The 1A part is out of stock for a while, but the beefier 3A version is available and was substituted in its place.

Thank you ! Now that I've confirmed orientation of all parts, I will begin soldering the PCB.
