I'm praying that I didn't cook several resistors when soldering, measuring open circuit at input/output center pins.

Can you post some build photos?  What meter are you using?

The meter is a generic Amazon Auto Ranging Meter, Assark. I am getting an open circuit when I test the ends of the aforementioned resistors, other 90 ohms seem to measure in range.

Can you send a link to the meter?

That should be able to measure the 47K resistors across the input RCA jacks.  What comes up on the screen when you try? Do you have the 620A or 85D?

85D, no reading, just seats at 0L.

If you're in the US, I would go buy the ~$25 meter at Harbor Freight, then try again.  You would be the first customer we've ever had that burned up all their resistors, so my money would be on the $9 meter at Amazon just being a bit of POS.

I'ld prefer to believe that as I thought that I used proper care in my build! Okay, I'll get the HF meter.

Thanks,
Paul

I'm seeing a $20 then a $45 meter at HF, is there value for the hobbyist to get the more expensive model?

Yeah, if I get lucky! Nice find though. I looked at the reviews on the HF meters and whie there were considerably fewer for the $20 model they were overall far better than the $45 model.

You'll need to adjust the resistance ranges to something sensible for whatever you're trying to measure, but this meter should work well for you.  The probes kind of suck though, so down the road I would also suggest some inexpensive silicone meter probes too.
