Happy Customer thinking about alternative tubes

1st of all, the quickie sounds great! :)

(I must also say that the assembly instructions are excelent.)

Actually really, really amazing considering the price.
(Might be buying one more in the future)

Just a little troubled by the amount of noise and ringing the tubes are picking up. It's enough to
just move the hand near the pre-amp to hear buzzing and touching the volume control gives a ringing sound.
When playing music then pressing pause there is a clear ringing tone lingering.

I'm thinking about Mullard DL92 tubes. Anyone have any experience with those ?
(or are there others I should be considering)

This has been asked a few times.  A little looking in the Quickie folder will yield a number of new tube suggestions from others.  You might search for Mullard DL92.

Microphonics are completely the fault of the tube. Doc and the crew don't put in high dollar tubes in a $99 kit as you can imagine.
